My old club used to shoot on a garrison range (a training camp) once a month. The wife of one of one club member worked in the offices of the camp and the club member was on very good terms with many of the permanent camp staff. This club member had just bought a Beretta 92 and invited the RSM to shoot this new pistol at one of our monthly shoots. A figure 11 target was put up and the RSM went to the 15 metre firing point (yes only 15 metres not even 25) and proceeded to shoot off a box of 50 rounds. The shots were peppered all over the target from head to foot and not even all of the rounds actually hit the board. When the all clear was given and they advanced to mark the target the RSM picks out three rounds that were close together on the target, not even near the centre and absolutely seriously says " Oh not too bad we've got a group there", but the sights will need zeroing".
That's one guy that I would never want to rely upon to defend me. The club members were dumb struck.
