Only when accuracy drops off - Sure I'm shooting one shot a week at a push - I feel this more related to range work? While stalking, a group could open up to the size of an orange and I probably wouldn't notice once the deer is on the ground
Let me explain further...if I miss what I would consider to be a straight forward shot and can't explain why the shot missed I may then investigate.
Check my zero first...did the rifle take a whack & zero is off for example.
Owing an ethical kill to our chosen query is paramount after safety so why wouldn't a shooter check his zero?
Some check zero before each and every outing and therefore perhaps noticing their rifles accuracy is opening up. Not just necessarily target shooting
