Inline muzzle loader

Here is a bit of European MZ tv.

I've watched quite a few of his videos and always enjoyed them . I was surprised to see the amount of interest in muzzle loaders and black powder cartridge firearms in Europe .

My problem in life is I get a passion to own something at the moment its a muzzle loading rifle.

I know the feeling Keith

I’ve got a hankering after one of these but good job there’s no chance of owning one as it will save me 5k. If I lived in the US I’d be buying one though:-

Resurrection time.
What is the current position regarding owning and using inline MLs in UK.
Thanks, Ken.
No change. Still S1, still legal for deer, still unlikely to get one conditioned for such.

Though I've just got a deer condition on my .45-120 so BP deer are on the agenda at least. Wonder what they'd say about the old Kentucky rifle 🤔

I have a .50 flintlock conditioned for deer so no reason why an inline would be an issue?

That is very interesting indeed! I couldn't even get Glos to allow the .45-120, loads of bollocks about iron sights being dangerous and it being immensely powerful 🙄, no way would they have considered a ML.

Wish I had asked for it on the Kentucky now!

palmer_mike, I think you might have taken some of my sabots a couple years back.
When I put in for muzzle loader for deer the Firearms Officer thought they wouldn’t meet the requirements.
I had to quote some external Balistics figures to get my variation through for deer with muzzle loaders. Wasn’t a problem though.

My initial question really was where can I buy an inline rifle and pistol?
At one time Henry Kranks were advertising pistols and when I called them I was told ‘We don’t sell those.’
And that was all the info I could get.
Kb.
Ps. Actually, I think you put me on to a company in Germany? when I was buying bullets.

I took a roe in Europe with a Browning Mountain Rifle .45 cal 70 yds over open sights 139 grain ball patched, 80gr FFG it ran 20 yards and rolled over.

Yes that’s right! Thank you very much….
The sabots work ok with the supplied SST bullets but I have an idea that it may be possible to substitute a lead free pistol bullet should lead ever be banned. Heaven forbid tho as I don’t really think it would work as well……..

The Browning is a really nice rifle . It has the little things that most don't notice , like two barrel keys and the Ramshead nipple bolster . I really like the browned model , very nice .
