Ivermectin, for the interested

No argument with any of the above whatever, Dalua.

Interesting to note that in Europe, there's a manufacturing plant in Portugal, despite it not being currently approved for use there too, despite that country's many and longstanding links to South American in general and to Brazil in particular (hence the travel ban to the UK currently in place) where Ivermectin is in widespread use over large swathes of several countries. Interesting alsomto note that China has the most manufacturing plants currently producing Ivermectin, but this should surely not be a surprise to anyone.

Am I right in thinking that you would be of the opinion that the many countries now either handing out ivermectin or otherwise permitting its use ('sanctioning' being not the bon mot in this context😷) among their beloved peoples is simply reckless, dangerous, incautious, or other, please feel free to say, I completely accept your view re here in the UK, its just that them crazy folks in authority in Slovakia, Bolivia, Belize and the many other countries where they've effectively said, 'well, we can't afford the vaccine, why not try this stuff, I hear it's good?' - how do you view this? Well, I accept that it is perhaps not quite word for word that, but I'm sure you get the jist, i.e. are our own unofficial takers of Ivermectin in society (healthcare professionals included) mad, bad or wrong to so 'protect' themselves before the results of the trials here are done and declared?

Many thanks for this clarification, which is of benefit in furthering everyone's awareness of the actual position. It's good to know that it could potentially be safe for elements of society, for a time period that may make a significant difference to the burden on the hospitals.

We may all be 'in' a bit deeper than the depths/debts which we are comfortable!

Good news regarding the latest vaccine to be rolled on in the UK, let's sincerely hope that a one off dose will help eradicate the virus, for at least this season.
No problem at all.

I guess on the flip side I could point out that for a cohort of 68 individuals, 21-45, with no underlying conditions, exposure to high levels of COVID itself (or mercury, lead, arsenic, smoking, fatty processed foods) would most likely also render no adverse side effects over 7 days.

Perhaps then we should conclude that all these things are potentially safe for elements of society based on the data?

Ooh, let's not be too hasty! 🤔🤣🤔

A little more background detail on the Slovakian decision to go earlier than other EU countries not already using Ivermectin; seems to be that the efficacy of early treatment and prevention of sickness of patients has more resonance there than in other other Western countries, according to their leading protagonist. Slovakia is a comparatively poor country, when compared to its former union partner, the Czech Republic, and certainly in the lower ranks of the economic 'powerhouses', but a beautiful land.

University challenge goes Ivermectin:

Getting in danger of shaking the doubters and naysayers out of their torpor!

Ivermectin is apparently in use in Nigeria to combat malaria as its useful against parasite borne diseases such as this - it may also be the only medicine available. We do have the vaccine and places like Pakistan (300 Million population) has only one supply of covid vaccine - 500,000 doses 'donated' by the Chinese. Apparently Pakistan isnt suffering to badly since its populations average age is 21 ! That's a lot of children per adult.

A very interesting and well conducted, albeit small scale trial and results from Argentina, Spanish, but subtitled in English.

For those who are still, despite FFs best efforts, concerned about coronavirus, be assured, it's been around for years, this is a public information film from the '70s.

Worth a view, if you're interested. Doubtless 'comedy gold' for one or two 'followers' (again)...

Meanwhile, from Malaysia:

Plan C might be to quietly allow IVM to do the heavy lifting, given its ability to break the chain of virus reproduction, thus stopping any further spread of the illness by vectors, unlike vaccinated people, who can still catch, incubate and shed more virus, for others to in turn catch. Can't see those vaccinated sitting tight for the rest of the year, they've probably regained at least a bit of their confidence and want to get out and get back to 'normal', like the govt has suggested they will be able to do, once we are all vaccinated?

It is worth remembering that Ivermectin was originally developed as a medicine for use in humans, not animals, it was found later to be equally effective in these, other fellow animals sharing the planet. Somehow, this fact has been, somewhat conveniently for some, forgotten. Or overlooked. Or ignored, hidden from the public, turned on its head, etc. 🤔

Nothing much in the Ivermectin 'search' over on the BBC website still, a mention on 20th July last year in an anti-Bosanaro piece majoring on his controversial advocacy for the use of Hydroxychloroquine after Trump's endorsement of the same. Maybe the Oxford guys haven't bothered to inform the Beeb that they're conducting their own trials now, apparently they're a bit suspicious of the experiences elsewhere, and also the meta analysis of Dr Hill over in Liverpool, which is rather significant in itself, given the overwhelmingly favourable outcomes recorded.🤔
