I think the most recent Cohrane review has all but killed off this remedy
Is this the May 2021 Cochrane review to which you refer: Ivermectin for preventing and treating COVID-19
If so, it is not new work or new revelation. It is merely repetition of the position that Ivermectin trials to date have lacked cohort numbers and rigour associated with drug validation testing [e.g. absence of double blind]:

There is is no new empirical refutation of Ivermectin efficacy against SARS-CoV-2 replication in vivo. This report is just the oft-repeated critique of past trials.

Wisdom says there is enough evidence to warrant appropriately dimensioned mass trials. And I would sign up for that.
