Oh you lucky, lucky barstool. I’ve seen bottles of Midleton in the Celtic Whiskey Shop for north of €2500Barry Crockett, master distiller Jameson and Midleton recommended a drop of water in whiskey to bring out the flavours.
I was in a job that got me a bottle of Midleton Very Rare every year while the job lasted. It made up for a lot of s+it. A lovely drop.

Neat, why would anyone add water to a nice whisky/whiskey?

A proper drink…? I’ve tried to drink Laphraoigh neat and with every imaginable mixer. Still tasted like surgical spirit.
