white Hart,
may I ask what was the practical demonstration?
i only ask because it fine if it's a small country lane, but if it's a major A road and the police are looking to you guidance, you need to know what your doing and take control.

Hi Tony

yes no problem, the demo was around what the most suitable "tool" for the job could be. We explored what tools did the job most effectively and made less mess etc also what we as individuals had available to us. We used a variety of matter during this including deer heads etc.

I cant agree more on your comments about situations and taking control this was thoroughly addressed in the training. I must say it was very comprehensive and defiantly of benefit.

all the best

thanks for your replay,
All I will say is make sure you have insurance and your constabulary give you cover to, I get called out by the RSPCA a lot and alway call the police to register and get an incident number that way you have cover and can get them to close the road for the seconds needed to distpatch.
not every police force has a scheme so make sure yours does before you attend.

good luck with it.

Hi there,

The course is an assessed course, so will include a multi-choice examination. We didn't feel a simple certificate of attendance was appropriate given the importance of the role of HAD Operator, especially in the range of scenarios that an Operator could find him/herself in.

Regards,

Mike.

Hi

Just checked with Lantra, its not a lantra qualification, its a certifacate that last only lasts 5 years and has be renewed.

Theres seems to be some confusion somewhere, if someone could clarify.

Thanks

Hi Everyone,

Unfortunately, after discussions with Mike Dickinson at Calton Moor Range, we have reluctantly agreed to postpone tomorrow's LANTRA APPROVED HAD course, and the course will be re-scheduled to Saturday 31st May

If you are interested in booking for this course, please contact Jelen Deer Services on 01264 811155, or Mike Dickinson at Calton Moor Range, Derbyshire.

I look forward to hearing from you all.

Regards,

Mike.
