One thing that screws up a hunting blade is a steel. I use one on my butchering knife but used one once on a Mora and ruined it, just glad they are cheap.

Another thing that i like to use when I'm polishing the edge of my knives is this stuff: Buy Flexcut (Gold) Polishing Compound from Axminster, fast delivery for the UK
Rub it into the rough side of your leather belt and then strop the edge over it. This'll bring it to a high mirror polish and scare the shiite out of you when the hairs are falling off your arm![]()

Hi i have a buck vanguard that has two bevels and the makers recommend an angle of 13 to 16 degrees must be obtained, so i cant see how it can be achived doing it Raymonds way, has anyone has more views on this?
