Im on a limited budget and have approx 1500 trees to plant as part of a grant scheme, looking like i will need the help of a couple of pair of hands for a few days poss in november.
If anyone is interested and can commit the time and are located in the south yorkshire area, i can water and feed them and would make it worth their while exchanging shooting for labour . pm if interested thanks DF

Thanks for your concern Davie :thumb: its really none of your buisness as you have not offered to help but for your informaion its not a 100% grant.
If you want to put my share of money or lend a hand feel free mate rather that have a dig.
I didnt have to post it on here ! there are plenty of folk would have jumped at the chance without . DF

Are you insuring your work force in case one gets trampled by one of them big red fellas Bob  or would they be covered by basc sacs etc.

next time just post labour for shooting swap, keep the other stuff private, between yourself and those happy to help. If you were closer id come down nice offer.

Thanks Spoony, i just think when money is tight if you can swap why not ? be it labour or stalking/ shooting even getting your car fixed then both parties are on a winner.
Maybe just the yorkshireness coming out in me, but i have been lucky enough to have shot 5 species of deer through swapping and even an offer of the 6th later this year for a swap.
Plus made a whole lot of friends in the process and it hasn't cost me a yorkshire shilling just time taking my guest out and trying to make sure he has a good day.
Maybe a stand alone section on the forum for swapping might be a good idea with wish lists and offers ? just a thought DF

i agree df i have had some wonderfull experiences of swapping my skills against stalking and shooting persuits and why not it doesnt cost only fuel to get to places or airfairs all the europeans are well into swapping hunting experiences and have dedicated forums for this ,atb wayne

Ive found it to be more fun to work next to people, Then stalk with them. As Mereside said only cost of fuel and time and is well spent in my book

Just had a wonderful week-end with a fellow site member as a result of swapping my labour for stalking. In reality I would have willingly helped him anyway and I know that the invitation to stalk would have been offered regardless of my assistance. Just the same it worked out very well as far as I am concerned, and I like to think that my help was of some use to him also. At the end of day we achieved a fair bit of work and even put three deer in the larder as a result of the stalks.
Two stalks that weekend were particullarly memorable and very satisfying due to the distance covered over open ground in order to get close to deer. At one point we actually stalked to within 5 metres of an unseen doe who happened to be on the opposite side of a hedge along our only available approach route to a far off buck. We were able to stalk around the doe without bumping her so very satisfying. I suppose that's why stalking rather than just plain shooting is so satisfying.

If a Yorkshire man is walking down the street and drops 10 pence what it the first thing it hits?

The back of his head. Boom Boom :-D
