Hi

Decroyffe? on the PW Forum had some boxes (1000prs) for a fair price - cheaper if collected.

Barnsley area if I recall......

Ciao

I spent a couple of hours recently lifting and dividing snowdrops, while wearing nitrile milking gloves that I got from the local agri hardware.! Latex wouldn't have lasted five minutes. Be warned that for some people the powder in powdered gloves can be very sore if you touch your face or eyes after taking them off. Extra large in nitrile didn't seem to compare to latex but they seemed to stretch after a while. I get surplus latex gloves in small amounts from the day job for free, but I think I'm converted to nitrile now

Go to your builders merchants, £4.50 a box here and if they wear them to stop their little donnies cracking up with all that cement they must be okay.

I have a box of NHS issued latex gloves - they are crap! I get on much with blue nitrile you get from the likes of tool station, or the best I've found are machine mart ones. A box of 100 is a fiver. More than capable of withstanding pulling an engine apart, epoxy, paint etc (I'm rebuilding an old wooden boat at the moment hence using quite a few) and very good for gralloching / larder work as well.

+ 1 for milking gloves, excellent tough tear resistant and no powder.

Get mine from Agri merchants and country stores

Working in pathology I tend to wear alot of gloves. Bodyguards unpowdered are the most common. The best nitriles I have ever used are actually made by BEST in USA. Mortuary staff tend to wear a long sleeved thicker nitrile and theese are excellent.

ON NHS supply rates they are a lot cheaper than in the retail sector but £5 a box isn't bad.
