Been very sceptical to be honest. However, trying to keep an open mind.
Ive dabbled with loads in copper. One working well with 100gr Fox in my 25-06 shooting into a half inch reliably. They’ll be doing about 3250 fps.
100gr TTSX same powder charge is almost same point of aim, enough to be irrelevant for deer distances.
Tried them for the first time on roe last night. Both fox bullets. First one about 150 yards the other a bit further. Both bucks dropped in their tracks and not much meat damage back at the larder.
I aimed a bit higher for the second roe and didn’t need too as the drop was negligible.
Lesson learned that I need to get used to the drop on these as they are pretty fast and flat shooting. But no argument with effectiveness, they hit hard and true. This is on roe do not huge beasties, first impressions very positive and would be confident using them on bigger deer.

Hi JockStalk.
Do you only shoot Roe? I was wondering what the .25cal, 80 grain TTSX would be like. Data shows 3700fps possible. That should make the Barnes expand reliably.

I do shoot roe mainly snd have 80gr in 243 to try, will see how they go. 3700fps would be making me a bit worried about barrel life?

I’ve also just started to try them in my .25-06 , ttsx 100gn @ 3350ft/sec .
Much like jockstalk though only a couple of roe and a fox but so far so good
