I had an old auto prime for years - the one with the square black tray and clear top. It worked a treat and primed hundreds and hundreds of cases. Sadly the plastic went brittle, snapped and now it’s no more.
I replaced it with a new auto prime thinking I’d have years of trouble free use. I mean, they couldn’t have taken a great product and made it worse could they??

Well they’ve done just that. Since using it about a month ago I’ve had more primers seated sideways and double stacked primers etc than I’ve had in years of reloading. In fact I don’t think I’ve ever had any of these issues before. It’s rubbish and I’m going to end up with a primer going bang so it’s destined for the bin.
Can someone recommend me a reasonably priced, reliable alternative please?
Some of the Frankford Arsenal and RCBS stuff is nearer £100 (compared to about £25 for the Lee) - i’d like to avoid paying quite as much as that but if they’re the only alternatives then I’d like to buy something well proven and recommended.

Auto Prime
Lee Auto Prime hand priming tool is a fast, safe, and effective way of priming cases. Lee Auto Prime uses inexpensive Lee Auto Prime shell holders only.
