Level 1 online training warning

I used Jelen's online course and did HME's DSC-1. Doing "mock" papers are a good way of learning and also shows which areas you are weak on and need more work. I reccomend both services.

Glyn, you can't really remember all 286 or however many questions there actually are by Question 94 = B so that isn't such a problem. Also, fundamentally it is a written exam: You learn to pass it as by definition you don't stalk in a class room. Hopefully you remember enough to be useful to you in the field and put you in the right direction to being a better stalker.

I used http://www.dsctraining.org when i did my l1 never found any wrong answers infact i think i only got one question wrong in the test, i found it a useful aid being dyslecsic where the manual was heavy going. DF

HME Sorry you took the wrong line on my post but i am sure the members are aware of your contection with Jelen and the BDS.
So if you felt like penning a big post then an even bigger reply maybe just Maybe you can point the readers to the training Aid site that is at fault in your opinion.
I know you pay to advertise i can see it under your name but that dose not stop any one promoting them selves even further .

So any one going for training make sure you use the many good online training aids and in my opinion beware of any one that cannot put facts on the site.!!!!!!!!!

Another scare mongering post without any attempt to rectify the alleged inaccuracies. What is the matter with some folk in stalking , no one can make a genuine mistake?, and when one is spotted there is no attempt made to help rectify it what's going on here in our world. Is it really that dog eat dog that others have to be vilified for what may well be an honest mistake, whilst bigging up others. Under other circumstances this may well be regarded as a personal issue, I have no time for this sort of thing and have no wish to see the lynch mob out and about.

Thank God for Paul at Barony and his sensible approach to this, I applaud his attitude.

I have neither a connection or contention (whichever you meant) with Jelen or the BDS, your assumptions are way off. A candidate printed a number of questions off the training website which has now been identified correctly which were wrong. It is not "my opinion" but the senior assessors at BASC - so many innacuracies, try re reading my original post.

I posted a warning, I didn't slag them off but have as so often happens on this forum been criticised for doing so. Unfortunately this industry is its own worst enemy.

As for admin, the issue has been highlighted to DMQ (not by me I might add) so an attempt has been made to rectify the "alleged innacuracies" and nothing has yet been rectified on the website. There are no personal issues ( I could easily say the same that all the Scots seem to be colluding!), I have no interest in an online service but would expect that those providing it at least provide accurate information - clearly that is too much to ask and we should spend our time correcting them.

Anything directly copied yes but not text based info if you re-write it to make it more accessible to all like with text size, formats etc. It's like with any educational materials, you can't just copy but you can re-write, use different pictures and add extra stuff in.

Like you say Paul when it is written in your own words and the original author of the literature is referenced, it is not plagiarism.
