Lightweight folding gambrel

Any suggests for a gambrel to put in my pack that’s not crazy money
I have a few ones for the pocket but none fold as with anything that has movement can and will. (also they can jangle )
I carry a pluck hook which is a bigger version of an S hook as you can easy clean a deer out on one of it's legs.
It has a cord so you can adjust the height if the branch it to high.

Marc Zabrovski lightweight gambrel kit or B&D. Never used the B&D, but the concepts the same - my Zabrovski kit is a game changer - literally 300grams and had 60kg fallow on it.

Onto my third hook - not as they break - keep leaving them in trees!😂

A couple of Aldi ratchet straps, the hooks are perfect shape and powder coated. Stick them in a bio wash after use.

You just have to be careful if lifting the gambrel from underneath that you lift it centrally otherwise it collapses, trapping your hand. Happens a lot on roe where I lift the carcass by the bar to fit the hook into a suspended loop..........

I had the same, but pinched fingers taught me to always lift the carcass up by using either the ring or the hook!

I've commented before, but this may be of use. The last couple of deer I've field dressed, all I used was a couple of S hooks, suspended on suitable branches of a nearby bush. They were Sika and Fallow, neither of them male. Worked really well, somebody on here recommended it, so I gave it a spin. Not sure if it would be so effective on a large fallow buck or a red stag. Always useful as a back up and very easy to carry and deploy!

Great bit of kit, but mine is also currently without a hook

Looks as though Marcs version is possibly still available from here.

I welded mine together as I though that much of the design. Then gave it away.
