No, the thread is not in the wrong section.

Got them new from HIS this week, had to wait nearly two weeks for my size. Obtained through work so not my own coin.

Two days of hill ground work should not result in this. Not for boots which are near £250.

At a loss what to do, so I'm appealing to the SD hive mind for answers.

I know about boot care and have worn oit my last pair after 3 years, be lucky if this set gets more than a season!

Caberslash,

I had a pair of Meindl dovre extreme GTX and after six months of use the Leather looked in a very poor state, so I took them back to the retailer where I bought them from. Three weeks later after being sent back to Meindl I got a phone call from the retailer saying they had a brand new pair waiting for me to collect. So I would take them back.

Interestingly the sole looks like that fitted as a Meindl replacement by the approved UK Servicing Department albeit the re-sole I have has a green mid section. The repairers are based somewhere North of Watford Gap and they charged me £50. The previous sole had not worn out but rather disintegrated due to a poor choice in the use of materials.

Something is definitely not right with your boots although heather will indeed find any weakness and in double-quick time with the vulcanising of a boot.

Speak and write to the Official UK Importer and Meindle HQ. Copy HIS. Whoever they are.

Had an elderly pair of Scarpa manta's do this after been left in the back of vehicle in the hot spell of 2018,assumed adhesive dried out,but note elderly.

Take them back to the retailer. I'd imagine they'll swap them for you without a fuss after such a short time but, worst case, they'll send them back to Meindl who will end up giving you a new pair.

You will get them replaced no problem, I’ve just had 2 year old pair sent back to Germany free of charge to be re soled as they were letting wet.
Came back like new.
Worth following up.
