Mites in Lab

Noticed last week there was a little crusty mark on the inside of my Labs ear. Today I also noticed she’s got a little patch of hair missing from the same ear. She was scratching it this morning so wondering if it could be mites. Or if anyone had had the same thing

Looks fungal, stick some canesten on it for a week

I'm assuming she's a fit healthy adult, so mites are low on the list, but you'd need to look down the ear to be sure. That's quite a odd looking lesion, it might be a form of wart, but it seems reasonable that it is the cause of the itching. If you'd sent me that as your vet, I'd say let's have a look

If she's been working through briars/brambles it looks like my spaniels ear's and around the eye's and nose after a hard day's beating

She’s in very good health overall and wormed and flea regular. She’s just two years old now.

Took her to see the vet tonight and it looks like one ear had got dirty inside and was causing her discomfort and the scratching was the cause of the soreness and loss of hair. The vet has given her ears a good clean and sent me away with some drops to use twice a day.
