I would like to see that confirmed. If its true, and I have no reason to disbelieve it, that is a huge Fox. There must be more fast food outlets in Somerset

Remembering Alladale and Deanich in the main shed they had another room on mezzanine floor as the stalkers office, the roof of which was insulated by foxes tails - there were a few hundred.

Ay they had a fair few tails on that roof. Unfortunatly Mr Lister had them removed as soon as he took over, if my memory serves me correct. We use to use their larder for all the deer I took of my lease, spent a few hours over the years up there, with a fair few stories to tell as well.

The biggest fox I have ever seen!!

I had a friend of mine come over from the Nethrlands in February 2010, we shot no less than 7 foxes over the course of a few days.

One of them in particular was a massive dog fox, I am now kicking myself that I did not weigh or measure it, I can't even go and find the remains now as I burnt it in the incinerator.

As you may be able to see from the photo it is the length of my rifle which is 115cm long. I can normally carry a fox no problem with 1 hand round the back legs or tail, this beast needed 2 hands to carry it the 1/2 mile to the incinerator. Needless to say my arms were aching afterwards!! I would not like to hazard a guess what weight it was!!





If one of his offspring has taken his genes who is to say there will not be another monster out there. I will be sure to measure and weigh it if the need arises in the future.
