I will check with our German wholesaler if they can get replacement stones - however I think it's fair to say being diamond grit it will be a long time before they would need replacingCan you import replacement stones? Hi MuntjacHi Rob, do you stock the upgrade kits?
Yep i had been using lansky for years, switched to the worksharp, made sharpening and more importantly just a wash and brush up and you can get the leather strop on it as well, very easy only takes seconds to bring a blade back to very sharp again, decent piece of kitHad one of these sat in a cupboard for months, unused. Finally decided to give it a go the other day. Wow! Silly sharp knives in minutes, and so easy.
If you're on the fence, get one.View attachment 381931

What angle did you set for EKA ? I was informed there is a secondary bevel at roughly 10 degreesJust to give Rob a big thumbs up as our WorkSharp arrived Monday, great piece of kit and a good deal via the forum. Previously I had been using the Lansky system and struggling to get an edge on the EKA swingblade, but the WorkSharp quickly sorted it out and its razor sharp now...

My question too given this sharpens to 30 degrees and reading EKA’s G4 website, its blade angle is 40 degreesWhat angle did you set for EKA ? I was informed there is a secondary bevel at roughly 10 degreesand that is why they’re hard to sharpen .
Yes please.Hi Springer
I'm afraid that we sold out again, however I am going to put another order in today with the German wholesaler and this should arrive in the 1st week of November.
If this works for you I'll put you on the back-order list.
Rgds

You have to careful about some manufacturers as they mean the full angle of the blade edge which is twice what others mean when talking about the bevel (I'm sure I could have worded that better). So you are setting the tool to a 20 degree edge. 15, 17 and 20 degree angles will suit all your needs from Kitchen to field. My question too given this sharpens to 30 degrees and reading EKA’s G4 website, its blade angle is 40 degrees![]()
