New Zeiss secacam 7 went to recharge but not working

Hi, I used the Zeiss Secacam 7 I just acquired. First set of batteries lasted me 2 months, I just bought some rechargeables and went to put them in but the camera won’t turn on . Maybe I accidentally had the camera on Setup or On instead of Off as instructions say is a must when swapping in new batteries . Could this have decharged the batteries or ruined my camera ? Otherwise I have been really happy with my first run using it: have caught deer, wild boar, the common genet, birds, badgers. Thanks for your help!!

I bought 2. I’ve had the same issue with one of mine. Swapped battery cradles and still won’t switch on

Hi Sussex Steve, I switched off, pulled out the batteries, recharged them and reloaded them and it worked. Let me know if it worked for you.
