Night licence scotland

I got my night license through the Level 2 route. Get on the fit and competent register with SNH and it’s no bother from there.
Also I phone Police Scotland before I go out at night, they give an incident number that i can provide if the police do come & inform the local police that i am out shooting in the dark

Night shooting deer you have to be on the register , its real easy if you have a lovel2 i just had to give my DMQ number . Need two others to give you their recommendation if just level 1. I recommend if its a proper issue get someone in to sort it if you have not got even level 1.. To be fair shooting at night on deer is a two man job , regards the task and safety
I could get on it at a price if your really stuck

Remember you can save yourself the hassle of phoning 101 and email through your details to

contactus@scotland.police.uk

There is a proforma available from Police Scotland. Fill it out for you shooting ground and save it then just amend the date and time when you are going out an attach it in an email to the contactus. .. email address

There is no mention on the license. It is the legal calibre for the deer that you’re going to be shooting. Unless anyone has it stated different else where?

I am sure years ago it was 270. But can’t find any info to confirm. Will email SNH and find out 100%
I think I remember seeing it on the paperwork that went with the Fit and Competent registration the first time I did it in 2012 or 2013. Certainly no sign of it now.
