Out last night.

Sainsbury's have Bakers Meaty Chunks at £9/bag or 2 for a tenner (with a nectar card) - just got a couple of bags and a little handful goes a long way. Foxes around here love the stuff!
Lazy devil ...no wonder you shoot them in the same spot :) 👍

When ever I've tried them they stop turning up!
Only squirrel, rabbit, pheasant works best here.
Pigeon too.

Apologies if this causes any controversy but...weighing a bloody fox...going a bit far now boys..sort yourselves out

I find the nearest spot to lob the stinky creature out of site and that's that ... weighing stuff is when you get paid at the game dealers 👍

After some more recent posts I'm glad no one is measuring "Other" Genitalia.

When you pick a 23lb fox up you notice it. That encourages weighing it.

having shot but also fished for years i can guess a weight of most carp i catch just by looking at them
sometimes they don't look that big but when you have them in a weigh sling and pick that up that's when you re guess before actually reading the scales
foxes are the same, the dogs always look bigger but sometimes its not till you pick them up and think god that's a heavy old boy
saying that ive shot some chunky/fat vixens over the years as well

Exactly this, they do get thrown in a hedge but you do notice a biggy.

When I first started shooting foxes I used to weigh them all , just out of curiosity more than anything.

Most averaged 12 - 14 Lb ....a big fox was 18 - 20 lb
I know when I shoot a big fox and I have shot some big old lumps...but cant be arsed weighing them as Im not really that bothered.

But I am not suggesting you boys have nowt better to do..that would be plain rude so crack on 🥰

i have never weighed a fox, but only because i couldn't be arsed to carry a set of scales about with me
but as i said above if i have to carry one to where the farm wants them left then i know if its a big one lol

If you dont weigh a big one its guesswork and I like to be accurate.

Then you get silly tales of 30 lb foxes 🤣
