Out last night - car was showing -7
Shot 1 fox, pulled the shot and hit it further back than I wanted, tried to find it and it disappeared into thick gorse so I hope it expired quickly - don’t like not finding them and making sure it didn’t suffer
Went to a different farm and shot this big dog fox - 100m and went down clean
I did not look at the forecast! **** wet through and freezing. Saw bugger all but deer, rabbits and field mice. Called it quits after 2.5hrs

It rained last night and was sheet ice this morning....I rested on the front of the pickup which was just outside the house to stop slipping on the ice and managed to start the pickup sliding down the lane...a bit of excitement first thing in the morning lol...only got about a foot before I got going.
Similar here! Very few options to get out this week with work and weather so I chanced it this morning - I've never know roads so bad! Just a sheet of ice everywhere.Good lad

We've just gone amber weather warning and I have to drive to Warrington tonight, back Friday pm (or when conditions allow!). I'd really rather be here having a snow day on Friday with the kids!!Lets see what the storm tomorrow brings ... hoping to get out after fallow Sat morning with the 6.5 Creed....and also hoping to get a new mod for the .243 tomorrow then get it zeroed with the XM50 on top so I can use this for foxing instead

Good result there. However ...and here is the picky part...we need the evidence (photos are fine).
There are some on here who have gone the whole hog and take a film crew but we dont need to go that far

sod having a film crew with me my fox shooting is a very solitary thing
if i make a noise or a wrong move that's down to me, someone else there just adds to the possibility of spooking a fox
these past few weeks have been mental ive shot 4 two weeks before christmas then 3 the following week, then between christmas and the new year i shot 2 then 4 again last night so 13 in roughly a month 10 of which were dogs
