He is an "of the spectrum" anti and will never comprehend what we do, to many bunny hugging emotions. No science or fact will make a differnece.Reading the paper this morning that Packham has called for a ‘truce’ with the game shooting industry. He goes on to say “ let’s stop fighting and start co-operating” and also wants to “ use each other’s knowledge” to benefit the countryside.

Maybe his contwact with the BBC's up for wenewal! It's not that long since he threatened shooters telling them their times up and accused all of us of shooting a raptor in buck fk nowhere.

That's unfair and uncalled for. On the contrary it is precisely those sort of negative comments that will ultimately destroy shooting sports from within.

Honestly, I don't think that basc could have responded in a more stupid way if they'd tried! No wonder there's so much difficulty in identifying the common ground, if that's the kind of statement that they're going to put out. Total lack of initiative, and playing right into the hands of the opposition.

Tim, who insisted that there should be no discussion with CP ? If anyone does nothing but say they are doing something, nobody else does anything its too late or the methods used are proved unsuitable. Thats where many are at the moment because more ground is consistently being given up.

It certainly hasn't been repeated via his main mouthpieces. If it ever existed, he's reneged already in a pretty spectacular way.....

"Victory for those that wanted a very wide-ranging ban looked certain until the Czech Republic intervened."
The BASC Catton Hall "gravy train" achieved exactly what? When push comes to shove it's the Czechs that get the task sorted.

I would welcome a joint effort in determining the best methods of conservation in the UK. An alliance between the shooting community and those we currently refer to as 'Anti's' could make for an uneasy (perhaps) but very productive and worthwhile effort.
However ... Any involvement by those who have been seen to actively pursue their own agenda (and all too often for personal profit, it would seem) via lies and damned lies should be avoided at all any cost.

We'll agree to differ on that one! There are some things that BASC are very good at that goes on behind the scenes without necessarily much in the way of publicity, on the other hand they do need to consult with the membership and most importantly get their consent before policy changes. The great thing is that being a BASC member is entirely voluntary so I'm not sure why non-members are complaining so much about them?
