Pard 007 POI change ?

Well ... Yesterday saw me sitting in a field with a rifle 100yds from a nice big cardboard box. Several small holes appeared in the box, then the Pard was fitted and several more holes happened. The Pard was altered slightly, visibly moving the image of the reticule and then several more holes appeared in the box.
Having made 3 seperate little shamrock patterns in the box, all of which were just where I wanted them to be I concluded that I could believe.

Lord be praised ! I BELIEVE !

Then my mate and I sat out for the rest of the evening watching over the grazing fields and saw nowt but ruddy sheep and a couple of ickle fluffy bunny wabbits

Thank you gentlemen for your advice and patience. I now have some faith in the gizmo and will endeavour to find a suitable subject on which to test it properly

Poor boy but good man! I had every faith……… er, honest!
Now all you need to remember is to push record to have that treasured memory forever. Oh, and ahem, push stop as soon as the required recording is finished. Otherwise you will have very long, boring recordings to review and then need to master the video trimming process. Oh Gawd I am going to lie down……..

Pleased you triumphed LS. I love my 007 and even more my recently acquired 008P. In the interests of the mental well-being of a number of SD chaps if you are thinking of upgrading - could you maybe leave it for a wee while, like maybe a couple of years? Just saying……

You can set it up so when you switch on it starts recording. It won’t work from standby though.

Is it common for these things to be a sloppy fit in their adaptor? I recently bought a used one out of curiosity. It's a good fit in the 48mm adaptor but in the 45mm one it moves around.

Over time snd a lot of usage I have noticed that too - just put a bit of insulating tape on it when it is in the right spot.

If your POI changes when the pard is fitted the only reason for that is that the bracket isnt square on your scope. Ive had the original 007 since its release and often swap between my 3 rifles with no issues at all

More inclined to get a new adaptor if that's the issue.

Best thing to do is get a bracket for each rifle scope, take your time fitting it make sure you get it straight and square before tighten it up then every time you clip on the pard you know all you have to do is focus to your cross hairs and your good to go

I'm new to the world of NV having treated myself to a pard007 recently. Initial trials were very promising despite some difficulty getting things all focussed up when fitted to the Hawke Vantage 6-24 on my .204. I've shunned the use of the in-built illuminator for the time being and am using an IR torch.
First time out with it I fairly easily picked out, and successfully shot, a couple of bunnies at about 200yds, then last weekend disaster seemed to strike

The caller was out and Charlie appeared right on cue, skirted the field and settled to sit and assess the wierdness from a position about 200yds from me. I settled the crosshairs on the upper chest/lower throat area and squeezed ... Very dead fox. The next one stood looking at me from about 160yds out. Bang = dead fox. Then the evenings light died and I put the Pard onto the rifle. An hour later a fox tracked the first one I shot and stood there sniffing the spot where #1 had fallen. Follow the drill and squeeze .... only to miss by God knows how much and off went Charlie at Warp 6. (Accompanied by a whining ricochet .. who says it can't happen with a .204 ? ! )
Then it happened again about 20 minutes later .. a complete 'sitter' at about 150yds. Settle in on the sticks and squeeze. Bang goes the rifle and off runs Charlie

I ended my evening right then and there. Not being 100% certain that shots are going where I want them to is a sign to go home.

Now ... I'm yet to have a chance to get out with my trusty cardboard box and check zero with and without the Pard.
I'm not known for missing foxes anywhere I'm willing to squeeze the trigger on them so I've been wondering if anyone else has experienced and POI change with the Pard 007 ?
I know I'm effectively using my original scope reticule etc etc but I'm bu$$ered if I can see a good reason for those 2 misses and it's bugging the whotsits out of me.

I once had a pard, tested on paper, spot on, first night out, 6 foxes, second night out, missed the first 2, about 150yds and 40yds!!
That was enough for me, home time and sold the next day!
Dont want to be faffing around every time you put it on your scope. Now have a vulpine, no issues so far.

I am confused (yes I know thank you). I thought the Pard 007s simply showed your picture as seen through your telescopic sight - if so how would it impact (see wot I did there) on your POI?
