Obviously you have trouble reading as I have not said I disagree with the police action or the enquiry afterwards. What I said was it is a shame they do not react as quickly to other things that happen such as burglary and car crime, vandalism and many other things. I agree that there are many good hardworking coppers out there, many of them are friends of mine and they all say themselves that they will never get back the public confidence until they stop being forced to ignore certain types of crime, weed out the lazy and corrupt and get decent leadership that want to fight crime not play at being a politician. Many things the police do is right in my eyes, but also a lot of it is wrong and corrupt.Nobody in their right mind would say that the Met is a shining example of Policing, but a huge amount of resource is being utilised to investigate and remove officers who have engaged in criminality, acted not in a manner befitting someone in public service, or who do not meet the standards expected of them.
However, I do not make sweeping generalisations that tars all officers with the same brush, and I suspect that the majority of serving Met officers are sickened to the pits of their stomachs by the results of recent prosecutions and enquiries.
To be specific about this case; a firearm and a taser were discharged during the arrest of this person, and a speedy, rigorous and unbiased review took place.
I would expect that this will have involved statements, body cam footage, radio comms etc.
The enquiry found that the officers had acted appropriately when dealing with the situation.
I repeat that had the investigation not taken place you would be complaining, it did take place and you are still complaining.
No matter what the Police do, it will never be right in your eyes.
If you don't dislike the Police you certainly aren't above having a dig at them given half a chance, and as for inferring that this is a Police state.....Obviously you have trouble reading as I have not said I disagree with the police action or the enquiry afterwards. What I said was it is a shame they do not react as quickly to other things that happen such as burglary and car crime, vandalism and many other things. Contrary to your opinion I do not dislike all the police, just the corrupt and lazy ones.
That is what happens when you arm the police. If your only tool is a hammer then all your problems become nails.
Makes a change from shooting unarmed members of the public I suppose
If the met directorate have carried out a full investigation into the circumstances already then its a shame the rest of the Met don't investigate other crimes that quickly
Same old voices. Don't care what members of your gang do it's all ok because they are police. Bet you made excuses about the findings of the enquiry into the Met. Not exactly glowing was it? But I bet it was all lies according to you. I have my opinion and you have yours, that is allowed in this police state I think. You sound like a very angry person, hope you were not like that when you were in the job.
I've not posted any biased views, I initially stated that, on this occasion, it is my opinion that the Police made the right call.Told you I am fine with good cops but not bad ones or retired ones that don't want to see other than through their rose tinted glasses. No matter how many times you post your biased views you will not convince me that all the police are wonderful and there are just the odd bad ones. You won't even convince my friends that are police officers.
We will never agree so let's just agree to disagree and press the ignore button
he knows them both? they must be busy locking up their rapist, murdering, homophobic, sexist, bullying colleges.Get Lancaster onto it, he knows all the good cops.
Would your insurance company not help you there? Ultimately I guess that you'll claim through them.i have always had faith in the police, until now. my car got hit by a tractor and trailor while parked. cctv caught it, i found the guy, he admitted it whilst i recorded but refuse to give me his insurance details. reported to cambs police, cant talk to a person and ten day in no contact from them.
what an absolute shower of shxx. complete waste of tax payers money
The "out" command is way the hardest bit to teach wellEncountered a bull cross lurcher which would turn a fox inside out for jollies trouble was hard to switch off, been on the wrong end of a so called staffy bull nasty thing and came to a bad end, but yes they do get bad press and Some not deserved.
Sorry but that's very misleading, the main story in that ISN'T the one relating to the police shooting.Adds a bit of context to the situation and maybe why the police acted in such a manner.![]()
