Hi,
I have a .308 with a 26" barrel and I am taking the steps of shortening to 20", threading and fitting a modertor.
I am told that this will reduce velocity by about 50 fps per inch so I guess about 300 fps, which is no great shakes as my current load is a light fast 125g BT doing 3165fps.
I want to go up in weight to deal with fallow/sika and the most popular seems to be a 150g bullet with 44g of Varget. Any ideas what this will be doing out of my shorter barrel? Is this load OK for fallow out to 200yds or will I need to change any components?
Best Regards
