Predictions on when ALL restriction are lifted

As most of us have lots of time on our hands and many have expressed opinions on CV19. Let’s have people’s predictions on when all restrictions are lifted you have to pick a week. I am not sure the winner will get a prize but in difficult times they get to look smug On the basis we are only at the start of it IMHO I am going

As this virus has a 1% mortality rate which equates to 650,000 deaths, and the Gov can't allow that to happen.

Total restrictions can't be lifted until an effective vaccine is found, manufactured and administered

So my prediction is late 2021 or early 2022

Sadly, if lockdown continues that long, there won't be an economy left. There are some gruesome calculations about healthcare costs, roughly if the cost of care is more than £30,000 per annum then it won't continue. I think this will be brought to the fore shortly, fwiw I think restrictions will be eased mid may to see what happens.

2021 if pushed I would say first week March there again there is every possibility the come the cold weather we
will have another wave of the virus ,will we have vaccine by then? If so who will get it the old and the vulnerable
like the present flu jab? everybody? Thats a lot of vaccine.
There are just too many variables to predict what will happen.
One thing is for sure when we will be back to normal is a long way off like other viruses this will more than likely
keep reoccurring until we have built up an immunity which could be several years from now and what about the rest of the world.
I think it will be some time before we return to things as we knew them.

Anything past 3 months is going to do irrepairable damage to the economy and the job losses will be huge. If it goes onto a vaccine is found which they are predicting later in September, I doubt that many businesses will bounce back.

My best guess would be a phased re-introduction to normality........

Maybe end of summer before some of the shops are re-opened and manufacturing begins again ?

Possible introduction of some kind of vaccine by end of year and phased programme of introduction and then well in to next year before all restrictions lifted.......I'll go for Easter 2021

You did say ALL restrictions

I think some restriction will continue to be applied to the high risk categories for a good while to come

However we are caught in a dilemma between the virus and economic collapse

some easing of restriction has to be allowed or it won't be the virus that kills us, but poverty

What do I know - I'm making huge generalities based on the unknowable

There will be a limit though to how much sacrifice the healthy will make to keep us old farts from dying

As to when things will return to NORMAL - I think normal has gone - no returning to 3 months ago - that doesn't mean there is no future - it just will be different

Mid may 2020 for a partial lifting of the lock down we have at the moment. The economy simply can not stand a lock down any further than that without going into collapse.

Difficult to estimate when ALL the restrictions will be lifted, I've been reliably informed to expect another 3-4 weeks of lockdown ……. after that I fear it'll be a case of watching what other countries do and whether there's a second surge of cases as people start being in contact with each other. In an ideal world the virus will slowly peter out and a vaccine may be available from the Autumn and that will be the end of it until Covid 20 or Covid 21...……..

It won’t be the normality we had pre Covid-19 it will definitely be different.
