PSE Stocks

Recoil management with the ETac and E Lite is different to other brands

The pulse is short and straight back - almost zero muzzle lift
does anyone know if a varmint barrel will fit into an E lite stock?

Yes the barrel channel is able to take up to 30 mm diameter ( though Edi may correct me on this ) the channel is very accommodating

Do you have a minimum order quantity for a completely custom stock inlet and design?

Have ideas for one to fit a Remington Model Seven for the ultimate short action rifle.

Something similar to this (ignore the deer and dog) but with a fore-end and raised comb like the Multi Purpose would be ideal!

Just buy Nigel M’s titanium 7mm-08 and put it in an E Lite with BDL bottom metal

Bet it would weigh with smfixed power scope circa 6-7lbs

We never had a rem model seven yet. How much weight will you save over a rem 700? Might need to start with a flat top?

Weight saving is moderate, maybe 100g odd if built with equal components but the shorter receiver length is what makes it special.

By comparison, the 700 S/A feels long and clunky to handle. The Model Seven action is about the same size as the Sako L461/A1 and CZ527, but it takes short action cartridges up to 2.8" COAL.

Thanks for the info. Is there any way of adding in spacers to the hunter series? I'm 6ft 5 so need a LOP up around 15" on a rifle.

Thanks
Mike
Yes there are options however that is gunsmith work. We started with the hunter series of stocks in 2007-2008, after a few years we heard our customers asking for adjustable cheek raisers as well as a variety of stock lengths. Result was E-Tac and E-lite. The E-Lite has the majority of it's weight in the back which sounds heavy on paper however it balances a hunting rifle well. Especially with mod on the front.
We have started developing the next generation PSE stocks made in a completely new to us technology. Main differences will be lighter stocks and visual carbon.

Have to say one of the things that draws me to your stocks is that the carbon isn't visual! Visual carbon is a bit "F1" for me, and typically visual carbon stocks are quite slippery compared to your design!

When i started with composites and carbon we tried to avoid any visual carbon. When starting with stocks we did not even think of visual carbon and rather worked on surface structures that suited hunting. Now however you will hardly sell a stock to OEM if it is not carbon visual. Most manufacturers saying they don't care about quality....
In the last years we are trying to find a compromise, offer visual carbon as well as painted structured however overall rather improve our quality, reduce weight, increase strength. No good going backwards...

Would rather not have 'visual carbon' as often the lacqure/gloss finish applied is easy to chip and fragile.

Hope you will continue to offer your current series of stocks as well.

I think the manners stocks have a good mix of functionality and bling but some are too much for my personal preference. It’s a classic case of you can’t please everyone- or at least I think it is. Keep doing what you’re doing, clearly you’re doing things very well indeed!

I much prefer the carbon like on Proof Research barrels and the Raven stocks ‘camouflage’ design.

Although carbon cloth impregnated with resin just looks nice and has a bling factor. @Ronin repaired a PSE multipurpose barrel channel for me with it. It looks like it came out of the factory that way he did such a good job.

Peek into our new technology. Hopefully launch at IWA or shortly after.

What are the plans to make the important surfaces (pistol grip and sides of fore-end) grippy?

Think the textured finish really sets your current stocks apart.
It will also depend on what the market wants. No reason why one couldn't have different versions.
