yes have looked at them also a mates got a infiray thermal spotter compares very well with my pulsar would be interesting to see a side by side comparison of the C50 and the TD50lInfiray td50l maybe worth a look..... Scope looks and cheaper.......![]()
I would say not a lot in it the only thing I think would put me off the infiray spotters is you can’t swap batteries out as the infiray’s are internal to the unitWhich would you say is better infiray or pulsar spotter ?
Thanks for thatI would say not a lot in it the only thing I think would put me off the infiray spotters is you can’t swap batteries out as the infiray’s are internal to the unit

Why don’t pulsar fit range finder as well
Ive been told the wraith is better at night. I too would begrudge paying for an IR I don't want so will be buying the Infiray TD50LHello all!!
So, Bit of a tech nerd/optics fan here.
I’ve been a long time user of the N450 platform since it was released.
So long as you use the right illuminator with them (standard pulsar one is bin fodder) they are great. The are not the best NV on the market, however their build quality, battery platform, menu system and zero ease of use far outweigh those competitors who may have a slightly better picture.
The C50 I have had about an hours use zero’ing at 100M in fading light in the rain, and I have to say I was ‘underwhelmed’ compared to say the Wulf 4k.
My hand was forced to buy the IR C50 (no non IR available for some time) so effectively it’s about £400 more than a Wulf and you get a free paperweight in the IR. It’s not £400 better than the Wulf IMHO, in fact the Wulf may have this day night scope nailed.
I’m back out on New Year’s Day and will report back……….
I would not have brought the ir by choice but I had too and to be fair I have found it no problem. I haven't used it at range yet. But I haven't thought I better put on my solaris yet.Ive been told the wraith is better at night. I too would begrudge paying for an IR I don't want so will be buying the Infiray
Steve models without IR will be available in the new year....Ive been told the wraith is better at night. I too would begrudge paying for an IR I don't want so will be buying the Infiray TD50L
What IR would you recommend for this unit Ian ?Steve models without IR will be available in the new year....
Anything LED or VSCEL based with variable control will be suitable...What IR would you recommend for this unit Ian ?
Link didn’t work will try againNo idea if the above will work ok but this is tonight in damp conditions with rabbits between 60 and 220 yards. The video is wobbly because it’s the scope off the rifle being hand held. The video starts off with the standard IR on minimum before I crank it up to the max. The rabbit against the hedge above the fence posts is at 220 yards. The ones in the open field are 60 to 120 ish. Through the scope I would say the 220 yard rabbit was clearer and I would say shootable if there had been a backstop. I don’t think the standard IR would be much good beyond this range on rabbits. Larger stuff in clearer/dryer conditions maybe.
