Raising funds for Cancer Research

I'm a big boy, and quite happy to accept the consequences of anything I post. It's a pity that people are using me as an excuse not to donate.

I have messaged Fred, and spoken to Malcolm, and I'm comfortable that they both understand what my best intentions are, even though I didn't appreciate how sensitive some people are. I only started posting because the response to the JustGiving page was abysmal, and like it, or not, it does reflect on all of us.

I have obviously upset some people, and the last thing I want to do is be used as an excuse for people not to give to Bushpigs charity of choice.

So I apologize to anyone I have upset because they're not in a position to make a bid, or a donation, because they can't afford to. My comments were never directed at you.

I also apologize to anyone who feels that I have made a "vial assassination of their character", & to those people who think my comments were harsh, and unfounded. I was wrong to expect more people to contribute, when they just don't want to !

I genuinely just wanted to give those people who need it, a sharp prod, rather than a stabbing !

Lastly, to those people who are using me as an excuse not to bid, or donate, I would ask you to re-consider, and make a contribution to Bushpigs worthy cause !

Ok - lets put it back on track:-

Lot 9 - one days acompanied (morning and evening) roe stalking on mixed farm and forestry land in SW Scotland (1500 acres) can be taken at any time by mutual arrangement. Includes one carcase, no accommodation but good pub B&B (used to stalkers) within a few miles.

Awesome! Let me start this at £150

I went to the funeral of my uncle last week who passed away from cancer. I have lost too many friends and family. I do regularly donate to cancer research. One of my 3 charities. I have stuck a small donation in as I always will when I see a collector in town etc. I'm unable to bid on the generous outing people have donated. But I praise those who have offered the trips and those who have bid and donated generously. We lost a very close friend last year who died too young. The more research the better.

I honestly hope any stricken by this disease finds the strength to fight and beat it.

Good luck

Hi Fred my heart goes out to you my friend, good luck with the battle.
i have made a donation but don’t want to be entered into the draw.
God bless

Hi All,

I would like to firstly like to thank everyone whom has made an effort to get my appeal back on track. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!

Once again many thanks to all that have donated lots and those that have bid on them as well as to all that have donated on my JustGiving page.

Here's a quick update: as you know I set a target of £900 on my JustGiving Page. We as a stalking community have now raised a total £1,310 PLEASE KEEP DONATING HOWEVER SMALL!!

Just went to donate but it appears that the Just giving page is now closed

Martin

I don't think it's the page that's closed, it looks like the Just Giving Site has a bit of a (Hopefully only temporary) problem.
Might be worth trying again later today mate!
