Ramshot powder any one using it?

Hi all, I’m considering giving some ramshot powder (probably the ramshot Tac) a try in my .308 reloads. Been reading some reports from guys in the US which are generally positive, so was wondering if anyone over here had given it a go and what their experiences were so far?

I have been using it in my .410 loads for a couple of years, not had any problems so far.

Yes, use Ramshot Hunter and Xterminator. Perfect for my needs. Availability a bit hit and miss at times and the price has gone up since it used to be really good value.

I like their comprehensive online load data.

Excellent stuff , I use them all , Tac is very versatile , use in 223 and 308 , flow perfectly through my powder measure , burns consistently well at the temperatures I've used it at from -6 to 26 with little change , and much cheaper , should I say more reasonably priced , than others.

I'm interested, what accuracy/ consistency are people getting with this and what sort of loads are you using, especially around the 150-165 gr bullets/ heads/ projectiles (whatever we're allowed to call them this week!!)

I am using RS Hunter in my .270 as of late. I chose it for its excellent measuring properties. I hate weighing every single load. Currently using it with 115 grs. Aero solids and am getting 17mm accuracy at 100m. Very happy with it do far.

Changed from H380 to Ramshot Big Game for my 06 about 6 years ago.
Same load.
165gr Hornady BTSP.
56grains Big game. 2700fps out of my T3 lite.
If I do my bit I can get a 5 shot group touching.
Price has gone up. Locally to me around £42.
Used to be £33.

They have but I found ramshot to have more bullet make/weight selection then the others.

Fair point, though sticking to a same weight, similar profile bullet the data is reasonably interchangeable, as long as you stick to safe loading practice and work up, this is borne out by Nosler who do their data by weight with several bullets for that weight given with occasionally a tweek for length or note for a specific bullet.

TAC is better than N133 in my .20 Practical, & N133 is damn good.
