Really pi**ed off !

9 hinds for the day, good for you, thats what i call a result. Interested to know what couple of tricks you learned ?

sorry but if it was me on the info you have given us then i would be naming the place !!! that way others on here can make their own mind up

1) you said the guy told you someone more important was coming up?! good customer relations i think not...what if you had taken holiday entitlement and booked hotels etc were travelling some distance...???

2) you said you doubt he would have called and you were doing all the calling checking...how ****ed off would i have been had i done everything in part 1 ..hotel travelled wasted annual holidays etc and then turned up to be told sorry pal...i woul dhave been small claims claiming the lot back.

ok the guy maybe reluctantly found you in hindsight (excuse the pun) a better setup and you had a good day but not without the original sour taste left in the mouth for me!!!

but then to dictate to you what you must pay in tips!!!!

in short

poke it!

you cant treat potential clients like this in this day n age and expect to be in business

if im treated right and regardless of beasts taken ..or not..as nowt guaranteed then im happy but that to me mate....they just treated you like an after thought and the **** on the end of their shoe

Very helpful, cheers.

David,

your thread title is really ****ed off!!

im agreeing with you!!!

did you take annual leave etc etc?! cant you see my point as in....others wanting to avoid same fate? so they would like the name of the place?

surely, if your posting about this, then your gonna expect people are wanting to know where it is

wasnt having a dig...im agreeing with you...think the guy/place have taken the **** big time & do not agree with way you have been treated

You've all been very good with your feedback so it is only fair that I feed back as to how yesterday went with the replacement estate. In short fantastic. Started at 8am finished on the hill at 4pm, didn't stop all day and took 9 hinds. Picked up a couple of tricks I didn't know about too. Gave the guy a tip  and have a date to go back up shortly.

As a matter of interest I also found out what happened with the original estate. Turns out he had double booked, so why he felt the need to tell me a big, fat, fib I have know idea. His loss, tosser.

Cheers

9 hinds, thats a hell of a day on the hill. Looks like you came up smelling of roses. Well done and as for double booking by the first estate, well he should have apologised and made an offer of a lower cost for you on another day.

Obviously not much of a people person and dis organised as well by the sounds of it.

Saur. As I say, cheers, you're perfectly entitled to your thoughts and opinions.

Sikamalc. Yeah a hell of a day, a lot of dragging so now have forearms like popeye. What made matters slightly harder was that I grassed 2 that got stuck trying to get up a snow drift. Fantastic, until I needed to get into the drift to get them out. Wish I had thermal pants on ! Bollock shrinkingly cold.

Indeed I had it happen and the bullet came out the first beast at not far off 45 degrees the second animal was no where near, perfect heart lung on the second as well that bit was where I wasn't sure if it was bad luck or good luck going on. Those were closer but still it wasn't like they were perfectly lined up possibly too close but you never know where the camera was in relation to the shooter

What a tosser

I watched this, and ............................. as far as I can see it was a clear shot, with a freak outcome. I have had it happen to me once with a red hind. Bullet deflection off the target animal and took a 45 deg angle and killed another hind about 30 yds away. I also had it happen with a Finnish client last year on a group of Fallow.

Stalk enough and hunt enough it may happen. Calliong people a tosser is not the answer either.

Why is that called for.... Not a tosser atall

Could happen to anyone !!!!

This will be my last look at this thread as i'm not going to get drawn into an argument (seems to be too many of those going on on here at the momant), but if you watch the video again you will see that the target deer is DIRECTLY in front of the deer which is also injured when the shot is taken. Look again especially at the camera angle directly after the shot is taken.

Assuming that the shot was taken from the same angle as the camera, there was nothing wrong with that shot. I would have liked to have seen a second shot go into that second beast though. JC

Totally disagree..

You called the young people taking tuition tossers...

Nothing wrong with the shot but the outcome was definately a big suprise ....

You made a bad assumption and a bad quote..

Look again and your clearly in the wrong..
