Recommendations for a rifle bag please.

I'm looking for a new rifle bag, not a slip case like what you would use for a shotgun.
It's only for transporting a rifle from my car to a firing point, i.e. target shooting only.
As such I'm not looking for a high end bag, just one which perhaps like you own and that does the basic job of holding a rifle securely whilst carrying it.
Thanks.

If your looking for more of a “drag” bag then elltech do some decent one which you can find on optic warehouse and they have videos on YouTube. I have 2 of the double rifle 60inch ones and haven’t had any issues

For a range bag have a look at AIM. I’ve got four of them and they’ve been subjected to good use over the 12+ years I’ve had them, still going strong. I know some have had issues with zips but not on mine. Some useful feature like a cleaning rod slip, big side pockets, biathlon style carry straps and an extendable hood. The padding and protection they give is excellent.

I have a Napier Razorback which has rigid heel, toe, spine and midpoint protection. Useful if you know your rifle may travel with other hardware around it, or travelling in a non-padded section of vehicle. This bag has served me very well.

But for lugging a single firearm from the car to firing point, a soft [sub £30] case works fine for me.1738660687701.webp
