Recommendations for economical hard rifle cases

Thanks for all the advice everyone. I've ordered a padded slip to use for now, and will keep an eye on eBay and the classifieds for Peli 1700 (Should be more than big enough).

Look at Explorer cases.
The Military use them a lot and from more than a few meters away you can’t tell the difference.
Function wise as good as a Peli water/shock/dustproof extreme temperatures etc and cheaper.

I have one (11413) and have used it on a plane and it’s been great.

I have a large Explorer case (13527) that I initially acquired to ship three rifles from Europe to Australia. Now I use it in the back of my ute when going to and from the range. I've removed the foam and put the rifles - up to four - in their slips and then in the case.

It has never failed me.

Cheers

I did actually see this one advertised, I looked up how much the replacement foam would be and it was a bout £100. So after paying for the case + postage + new foam its close to the cost of a new pelican case. A new one would come with the lifetime warranty also (seems like you need proof of original purchase from a retailer).

So at £200 this one doesn't make sense for me I don't think. Thanks for having a look thought.
You don't need to buy the Pelican foam, just go to efoam online & order whatever you want for a lot less!
