RIFLE CLEANING STATION

Here you go

I think the home made ones are more sturdy. Use some scrapwood to make two U shaped pieces to fit your rifle, cover them in felt and screw them to the table. You can even attach a quick grip clamp to the piece that holds the stock.

I've tried a couple of rifle stands, found them great for fitting scopes, but a PITA for cleaning barrels, because tight patches just move the stand around.

So I switched to a vice like this Swivel Vice attached to my work bench. I made a couple of cork jaws with some cork sheet, and some ally plate, and I can now hold rifles, or barrels firmly, and have both hands free, and of course, I can rotate the vice into the best position to work.

And to be honest, I don't know how I'd manage without a vice anyway.

I bought, many years ago, a plastic box with a top tray that has a secure lid and carrying handel that I keep most of my gun cleaning gear in. It cost very little. My gun cleaning is done in the wash room that is in my basement. Large butler sink to catch the solvent splashes.
In the basement there are also warm pipes for the heating system that are ideal for drying out wet guns and scopes.
