Sorry, the sling's not for sale through Blaser dealerships, nor is the rust browned version... but what do you think of the fancy-shmancy pre-production custom shop variant?

I note there is no scope rail or holes in the reciever for base's Tom...
In which case I take you just point and shoot in the general direction.
( hope for the best and all that. ! ) :D

You being a traditionalist I thought you have prefered the "Ye Olde Broomsticke"
to the synthetic jobby.

Nevertheless, Happy hunting. :tiphat:

Rgds, Billy. ;)

CZ 527 .22 Hornet with 6x42 Swarovski shooting 35 grain V-max and accurate enough for me.
My second C/F and ended up outlasting a .223 X-Bolt, CZ Combination in .222 over 12bore, .223 Baikal
single shot, Pfeiffer Waffen 6mmPPC, Blaser R93 in .243 (hated it)
It lives alongside another CZ527 but this one in 7.62x39, sorry but no pics yet
(i tend not to take pics until rifle is ready to shoot, and this one needs threading still)

McMillan .270 Win. Hand built by the man himself in the early to mid eighties, before the name of the company was sold. Came to me having fired a documented less than 200 rounds in nearly 30 years. Hand made McMillan action, barrel and stock. Barrel is 1:10 twist shooting 130 - 150 grain bullets. Still working on loads but currently running Hornady Interlock 150gn round nose over 51 grains of N160 and CCI BR2 primer @ 2670 fps for woodland work. Switch to 140gn BTSP over 58 grains of N165 and a CCI BR2 for more general work. No idea how fast they are.... about warp 6 I think! Topped off with a Zeiss Duralyt 3 - 12 x 50 in third eye tactical mounts. Moderator is a Hardy Gen III. Shoots clover leaves if I try.

1947 Husqvarna 640 8 x 57 JS, Good old classic rifle built on an Mauser 98' pattern action by FN and supplied to Husqvarna. Now residing in a Parker Hale stock and fitted with a Timney trigger with side safe and new tail piece on the bolt without the flag safety all kindly donated by a good friend (except the trigger that I had to pay for!) Shoots Hornady 170 grain round nose interlocks into an inch. They are running on 51 grains of N150, should be doing around 2600 fps. Yet to chronograph it. Topped off with an S&B 6 x 42.

Good estimation of my tastes Billy. My rifles do indeed tend look remarkably like the photo you've posted.

Here's one, threaded for can, no open sights but with scope attached :D

IMG_2311.webp

By the company formerly known as Border Barrels.... it's a cut rifled one, in 6.5x284... The likes of which will never be built again...

ps. It's fired less than two hundred rounds too... So, offers in excess of £2,500 will be required to part me from it... :D

Here is mine

7mm08. GBR action, PacNor super match fluted profile 5 18" barrel, Shillen trigger, B&C medallist stock, S&B 3-12x50, ASE mod. Added a three shots at 100m (more luck than judgement) picture also. Dropped all the UK species and has excellent balance. It's the rifle I always grab for.

the perfect stalking rifle for all uk deer.

Here're the ones I use most:

MRC 1999 in 7mm-08 built up by Mark Penrod of North Manchester, Indiana. Has a 24-inch Krieger barrel, McMillan Winchester Classic painted gray, Leupold STD mounts, and Leupold VX-III 2.5x8.
P1120314_zps80c850eb.jpg

Ruger 77 Hawkeye in .223 Remington with a Leupold VX-2 3x9 40mm. The factory trigger was worked over, but it's otherwise as-issued. This has become my number one hog killing rifle.
P1120540_zps2753628b.jpg

Ruger No. 1 in 7x57 with a Leupold Century Limited Edition 3x9. It's had some trigger work, but it's more or less just like it left the factory.
P1120539_zps1edea88b.jpg

Ruger 77 Mark II in .270 WCF with a Leupold Vari-XIIc 2x7. I had the scope upgraded to accept Alumina accessories and had the reticle changed to LRD. This is easily my most "pedestrian" rifle, but it's never let me down and has provided me with some great memories. (The quickest kill I ever made was with this rifle on a nice whitetail buck in 2006.) It's had its trigger worked over like the others, but it's otherwise as-issued.
P1120541_zps3aa4a2d4.jpg

Pictures of these with animals are posted elsewhere, but suffice it to say, I wouldn't feel under equipped on any deer-sized or hog-sized animal in North America or Europe.
