Hi all
I have a ruger m77 in 220 swift and the bolt is not slick, best described as feeling a bit dry.
Anyone know of a riflesmith pref in the south west that could polish the bolt to make her cycle like butter?

I’ve never known a m77 bolt to not slick, spray it some good gun oil and give it a wipe and save yourself the money.

Try a dry lube first.

Just sit with it and work the bolt a bit.

Spend some time with slight polishing compound and cloth and polish the bolt body

Cycle the bolt several thousand times in the action and you will have a smooth, slick feeling bolt action

No need to pay anyone to do this

Buy a tube of Solvol Autosol, I reckon this product has the very finest polishing compound, polish all the running surfaces of the bolt.
