just wondered what scopes people have on the rimfire's and why,
on my 22lr and 17 hmr i have the hawke vantage SF 4-16X44,
i have no idea why but thinking of getting a better on for the hmr, maybe something with a bit more magnification,
my mates selling his Nikko sterling C-more 3-30x56 Scope??
thanks.

I have a Hawke SF 30WA Vantage 4-16X50 on my 17HMR. I shoot mainly after dark with a Pard 007 which effectively converts it to a 8-32.

Keep the scope, buy a Pard 007a from Remmy700 on this site and transform your shooting plus you can record everything night and day!

Or buy a 008 do the same but not have a crick in your neck from the crazy point the ocular sits at! 😂
Hmm. I found that with only minor tweaking the 007a is fine on my .17; .222 and 6.5x55 though the latter already had a recoil pad.

It may have changed but when I looked at them - every rifle I saw had the ocular lense 4” further back than it should be for the rifle to be properly shouldered.

The 008 is essentially just a scope although it lacks variable mag options and can be a pain in sunny conditions.

I guess if the 007 was mounted further forwards the scope would be in the wrong place!

Take a look at the Konus pro range of scopes, I have the 3-9x32 pa on my rimfire, excellent scopes for the money indeed.

i have seen the pard before but never even knew what it was, im now looking with great interest:D
a lot cheaper than the thermal scopes i was looking at a couple of weeks ago:eek:
