rimfire scopes, what you using

Honestly have too much scope on the rimfire rifles. 1 has a Hawke Frontier and another has a Vortex PST Gen II on it

My BRNO Mod. 2 used to have a supposedly un-branded Schmidt & Bender 6x42 scope on it.
It had a 26mm tube, luckily Hilver made steel 26mm rings for the BRNO
A few years later, it then had a genuine Schmidt & Bender 6x42 fitted....and this stayed in place for about 20 years

The same scope & rings then went onto my Mod. 1 when the Mod. 2 was sold (to make way for the Mod. 1)

My Buckmark carbine has a FastFire III red dot

Not decided on a scope for the 9422 yet - but no rush as it's been broken for a couple of years or so

I've got a meopta 7x50 on my 17hmr and would change it for anything it's a cracking setup

Buy the Pard007a - it will transform your enjoyment of shooting and give you pretty damned good NV too for <£300. Think of all the fun you will have playing back the videos of all those crows/rabbits/deer that you missed! The Pard is rated for .308 though I have only put collars on my .17, .222 (bless) and 6.5x55SE and it performs brilliantly with each. The oft-reported eye-relief issue is easily sorted with a small amount of scope adjustment and a decent recoil pad. After a few shots you won’t even notice it and it can be very easily taken off in a second should you wish.
Badger watching at 270yds and roe at 65yds in very poor twilight.

just wondered what scopes people have on the rimfire's and why,
on my 22lr and 17 hmr i have the hawke vantage SF 4-16X44,
i have no idea why but thinking of getting a better on for the hmr, maybe something with a bit more magnification,
my mates selling his Nikko sterling C-more 3-30x56 Scope??

I use a 6x Zeiss on my 22 lr. I find this perfectly adequate for most shooting scenarios. In the past I had Leupold 4x shotgun scope on my 22 that was also pretty good.

S&b klassic 6x42 on a anschultz 1517 .17 hmr. Went for this 6x as I read that paralex issues on lower power scope is easier to over come than on higher power. S&b klassics come set at 100m paralex. the 6x performs to my eyes better at short distances (>40m) than using my 8x56 klassic, which i get cross hair mirage. With thinking about dependant on range of use. That’s said plenty of air rifle / rim fire scope that are set to 50m paralex You can find.

Zero'd at 50 and decent aim points out to 100ish.

Clean, no nonsense & good in low light

Never have too much scope Brilliant for 100m bunny head shots.

Hawke Sidewinder, but would go for a 4x16 rather than a 8x32.

Yea we had the sidewinder on, but my old man couldn't see the fine reticle.

I was going to get him a lesser Hawke version with a thicker reticle, but he strongly hinted he liked the PST Gen II on my 223, saying he could see that just fine

Just ordered the hawke in 1-4 x 24 illuminated red dot for one of my 22 rimmies to free up one of my other scopes, tried one this afternoon pretty impressed with the glass and reticule they do look a decent bit of kit, wall to wall sharpness and a decent illuminated dot
