i really think there should be a forum boxing ring at the game fair or some other national event where all these keyboard warriors can meet and have there arguments , i think they would all behave differently if they were face to face?

The OP was attacked from behind, the idiots family witnessed it and corroborated the OPs story, whilst the idiot is pelading amnesia!!! I would suggest the OP takes legal action for assault.

Well Sir, you seem to have an attitude problem yourself.
Getting out of your car and swearing at people is not conducive to your profession or having a FAC.
You would have been better off if you had stayed behind the two cars leaving a large gap so that he could speed off if he so desired.
You are fortunate that he is not suing you in view of his injuries as I am sure some smart-arse lawyer would love this case.

You clearly don't read very well or didn't offer the time to take in all the details.
You also have clearly never been the victim of road rage. Hindsight is a powerful tool when it comes to advice on driving!!

What him getting out of the car or swearing has to do with being a responsible FAC holder I do not know!
If swearing a lot precluded you from having an FAC none of my family would have been granted one!!

If no illnesses is the case how come I have an fac ??? Diabetic, angina, replacement hip joint and numerous encysted bits of steel in me from a culvert bomb!

When i was attacked in a road rage incident the thug was a name well known to the Police.

Off record they were made up this piece of scum had got his just deserts for once.. That said i was treated by the book.

He had a little ride in the ambulance and i kept my firearms.

We all have the most basic of human rights, self defence.

No doubt approaching 50 i will be starting to loose more than i win in such circumstances, but i will not be bending over either....

Imo Dorset Police and my flo have all been exemplary and totally professional in handling my personal incidents....

I think it speaks volumes that the perpetrators own family were willing to say on record that he was in the wrong.
I think it speaks volumes that a man just assaulted was willing to step up and help save the life of the very man who just assaulted him.
I am fed up that in our country, where we are supposed to be assumed innocent until proven guilty, that we, firearms owners are often treated as assumed guilty until we prove ourselves innocent. Take for example how we are denied any appeal for refusal of grant for a firearm. Never a reason given, just no.
I will not be bullied by the police or the general public. If someone puts my life at risk then I should have the right to tell them to back off.
I should not have to have a video camera in my car or on myself just to show that I did nothing wrong.
It is never right to give someone a pasting, unless in self defence.
I honestly think that this country is well on the road to being the most expensive and s**t place to live combined in one.

In funny way he pick on the right person to have ago at as he was a doctor and was there to give the offender first aid to help this person who had ago.
In the situation of the guy having a heart attack it may have turned out different for the guy who had said heart attack, if it had been someone with no medical knowledge maybe something for all of us to think about.

It seems everytime a situation like this comes up theres the usual spineless wonders quick to point their finger.

Im sure from the many posts around subjects such as this where it would be highly likely an oap being mugged or a young lady being bullied would not receive any help atall !! but hey the all precious fac is still in the drawer.

I also ask the question generally that had your wife wife been driving and the fatman threw some vile abuse in her direction would you just sit there quietly because of your FAC or would you protect her verbally and if need be physically and sod your FAC? We are rolling over far too often and taking a shafting every time.

Well I'm disappointed another thread has descended into this and the reported post emails are rolling in.

The thread has been completely dragged off course and and a result its original purpose is being spectacularly missed by many.

Take it for what it is, a warning of how an every day argument can turn into a nightmare, in seconds, without warning and despite whatever it is each of you would have done with the benefit of hindsight and from the comfort of your armchairs.

It was brave of the OP to put it on here but I think all that needs to have been said has been said.
