Roe deer malforms

If anyone knows what may have happened to the one with the single bent down antler I'd be interested to know. Head was solid, just the antler was bent over though im not sure what type of damage it must have received in velvet for it to go like that.

I would imagine running and one antler hit a low branch. Seen similar in velvet
 
I’m early into my stalking career (only shot 2 roebucks) and this was my 2nd. My guide said I was very lucky indeed! Due to our broadside angle we didn’t notice the malform until he was dropped and we got up close. I was chuffed.
