Hi
Please find two photos of a roe buck that was a RTA and was picked up by the council cleaning department in the Ebbw Vale valley.

As far as I know the nearest roe are a good 15 miles away.

A roe can trot that in a night and at this time of year kick out can result in movements in all directions.

I'm somewhat sceptical dogfox that the roe wasn't simply dumped on the road. Do you have any further information?
Also any chance of making your photographs larger.

243varmint that was my initial thought and then I remembered where the nearest roe would be. So it is just possible that a roe may have wandered over a couple of hills but a little unlikely.

A deerstalking friend of mine saw a roe buck alive and well on the
outskirts of Abertillery last summer.

This deer was not far from Abertillery. There was a young roe buck that was in the grounds of Sirhowy school in Tredegar about seven years ago. It was killed because they try to chase the deer out of the school grounds. I would think that these deer are dropped. The deer in the photos was a RTA as the injuries of the deer shown that it had been hit by a vehicle.
