S&B gets the "Boot" for Zeiss HT

Update; Had both the HT Bino's and Scope now for the last few month. Defo will go down as one of the best investments of kit I've made to-date!! My mate is always at the Landy at least 15 minutes before me, He swears I must be using a Lamp !! He's only joking of course. Whilst I can still see and clearly make out the Deer for a clean Safe shot, then I will sit it out till the death !! no doubt someone will berate the fact that in poor light You can never 100% be sure of the eligibility of the Cull animal. My response would be, I suppose it depends on knowing your ground, knowing the Deer on there and there movements and a liberal dose of experiance. If someone can please pursuade our All Sika and Roe to come "Out" a little earlier, happy to put the HT kit back in the box.

Flogged my illuminated duralyt 3-12x50 to go back to a 6x42 S&B... I found I never used it and needed the money back.

ive an illuminated scope on my .308 tho as its going to be used for different purposes.

lets face it we only really change our scopes and rifles out of boredom :)

Mostly equipped with illuminated dot scopes now , the centre dot illumination has to be fairly fine - subtle , and controllable via a rheostat ,don't actually use the illumination that often but occasionally , as has been said already , it makes the difference between sucess and drawing a blank , and not just at dawn / dusk , even on a bright sunny morning with the contrast between light and shade in the woods it has made a difference .

I reckon that I manage an extra 5 or 10 deer a year thanks to my Nightforce's Illuminated Ret compared with the S&B non Illuminated Ret
