Salmond v Sturgeon

This whole inquiry STINKS! Salmond was due to appear tomorrow and his written evidence was published last night. This has been seen by thousands of people, and probably downloaded by many of them. The evidence was carefully written by Salmonds' lawyer so that it didn't contravene any of the instructions from the court, and yet large sections have been redacted. Salmond mentioned several groups which he claims were complicit in trying to stitch him up for sexual offences, one of which was the Scottish crown prosecution service. Who has made the large redactions? It's either the Crown Office or a Scottish Government staffer, neither of whom can be said to be completely unbiased in this case.
Now the Crown has pulled the submission entirely, over concerns (false concerns in the opinion of many, including Salmonds lawyers) that his evidence may lead to the identification of the complainants in the case, the identification of whom many people know already through the garbled attempts of the mainstream media to smear Salmond with the allegations which were found to be false in court.
So, one of the parties who was named as complicit (the Scottish Crown Office) is basically involved in a last minute attempt to stop Salmond giving evidence. Putin would be proud of that stunt, so would Mugabe. It stinks.

The more this shambles drags on, the worse it gets...... the stink of ordure gets more pungent by the day. Sack the lot of them as they're all busy trying to cover their backsides. All jimmy krankie can do is wait until the 25th of March and then she'll be able to hide behind the purdah/no comment scenario and pray the unemployed and unemployable are willing to follow her blindly to the independence nirvana.

I take it you heard sarah Smith’s preamble this morning Klenchblaize? Better ‘late‘/early than not at all.
Yes I did and thought of this thread!

The word that is key to all this is "evidence" allied to the ability of those who believe they have such do deliver it.

I still maintain Sturgeon may well be reeled within sight of the bank but will kick the landing net.

Say what you like about Salmond (because it has all been said before), he is no fool. I'm certain that he will be so angry now that he will want to see her go down, no matter what else happens.

There was an article in the Sunday Times saying that Leslie Evans (Permanent Secretary) will likely be "thrown under the bus" in an attempt to deflect attention from Sturgeon. It has got to the stage where I doubt that will work. Evans may go, along with Liz Lloyd (SPAD) and others, but there is blood in the water now and many will not be content until Sturgeon goes and there is a broom taken to the Crown Office too.

Somewhere along the line the decision to press on, throwing good public money down the drain, against the legal advice given was made; I’m not aware of the role of Spads or civil servants includes powers as governors or decision makers/takers, I tend to think such powers are reserved to the Ministers. 🤔

I have just compared the redacted and unredacted versions of the submission Salmond made regarding the ministerial code. The redactions are those pieces which implicate Sturgeon! This is getting beyond belief now. What's the point in redacting something that thousands of people have seen already, and will continue to see courtesy of twitter and various websites?

To those that are maybe not interested in this issue, my apologies. However, what is going on in Holyrood right now has to be stopped one way or another (legally or through the ballot box) or Holyrood should be closed down.
