Anybody out there used salt licks ? do they work ? I have a bit of ground with Reds I was hoping to draw them in saw a lot on neighboring ground .If they do work any particular make ? thanks

Appreciate the adviseCertainly works well on Fallow. In the past I have used the blocks from Bushwear. They smell of aniseed and seem to work well.

Tim 243 told me there some recent threads so I looked back at them said road salt is Toxic to deer ? Just want to draw them into my field give them a lead implant !

Not as interesting as the theory's about transient deer passing on TB and using a salt lickinteresting

My experience is the same. We put a Bushwear salt block on a stump. Roe are now nightly visitors to the block, but muntjac have ignored it completely.Had one in place since late April. Roe have shown interest but muntjac not in the slightest. Foxes like it too.
