Schmidt and bender or night force scope?

My NXS 3.5 - 15 x 50 is an excellent, robust, repeatable, clear scope in the day but doesn't have the legs at 1st and last light when compared to a S&B.

The OP is wanting a comparison on Nightforce SHV scope v S&B, not the NXS.
In fact there is no comparison, S&B every time. I can say that quite convincingly, even having never looked through an SHV

True but at least knowing the NXS is their better scope and if it is not as good then the SHV will be worse. But thank you both for the feedback, both are great views

Hi Brian. The NXS is a very good target and long range hunting/Varmint scope, due to its good choice of reticles and turret repeatability, but not a stalking scope and not great in poor light either. The SHV is a lesser scope, for sure. The S&B you’re looking at is a proper hunting scope and far and away the better choice for your needs and great glass.

Hi guys, I am planning to buy a new scope to replace my schmidt and bender klassik 8x56 scope. I was looking online at a schmidt and bender klassik 3-12x 50 LM L7 reticle for £925, but my friend who has same schmidt and bender 8x56 scope recently got a night force shv 3-12x 56 scope for £600 that he loves and thinks is way better than his schmidt and bender.
I was wondering if anyone has any advice, I have not seen the scopes in person because of covid.
My budget i was looking at was about £1000

I know it’s not the same magnification.I’ve got an 8x32 NF . I’m going to sell it to get a S&B Klassic or Stratos
