Schoffel Sutherland Smock review?

Any experience with these? Are they any good? Looking at a replacement for my Ridgeline.
I’ve got a Schoffel Ptarmigan Extreme shooting jacket which is good. Hoping their smock is worth a try? Thanks!

I can’t review the smock but I have a Schoffel tweed and Gortex shooting jacket and breaks and a lightweight Schoffel shooting coat the quality and waterproofing is first class, they are expensive but sometimes you do get what you pay for

Yup. Bought one for £200 6 months ago.
Well made and very waterproof.
It's more of a shell jacket, but that suits me fine as it packs down quite small when not needed.
Pockets are OK, though I'd prefer a few more.

Well worth the money if you can get a heavily discounted one.

They are 180 in a few places at the moment…

That all sounds pretty good, is it breathable or not so much because of the waterproofing?

How does it compare to anything else you’ve had?

Also I don’t understand the sizing, is it chest sizing I’m 6’4 and 13 ish stone so quite slim was thinking 44 or 46? Is that number the chest size?

Very breathable as there's no insulation.

I'm a medium in most clothes, 5ft 10" with 40" chest. I bought a UK40 and it fits perfectly.

If Mail order, I'd just buy both and return one.

I know that the schoffel ptarmigan jacket is very well thought of.

Size depends a bit on what you want to put under it I suppose so good point on the ordering both and returning one!

What do you want to know?
I've had mine over a year now. Daily dog walking, beating and stalking jacket. I've been out in some pretty horrible weather lately and it's kept me dry.

It's a brushed fabric, so very quiet. Magnetic poppers on the neck zip, so well thought out.
I doubt you'll get a better jacket for that price point, if you find a discounted one.
