Scope removed from rings needing re-zeroing big time

Out of interest when a scope was removed from the rings and refitted--whats the worst case of needing re-zeroed you have experienced.I had a 7" adjustment to make today and was quite surprised.I reckon the mounts are a bit iffy

Did you torque them back to the same torque settings as when fitted them ?

Did you use a torque wrench when fitting them in the first place ?

And yes you have to re-check your zero even if you removed your scope with rings still attached unless you have decent RTZ mounts .

So did you remove the scope from the rings and then the rings from the rail or were you using talley style screw in mounts, either or all , also quality of base and rings play a big part
