Scottish roe bucks

Looks a cracker fella.Very thick and seems very long too or maybe just the camera angle?Very narrow span too is it?

Dave, He is quite narrow and about 25cm long but has huge volume, especially round he base. It's sitting at 600g after 24 hours in the drying room.

Here is a nice freak head we shot this morning in the wet and cold!! 10 points, I'd like to get a weight on him but looks big enough to go silver.

Outstanding heed again fella and someone will be a very happy lad indeed.Almost looks as though hes split the antler when small and soft and its branched into two and grown from there. The continentals love this sort of thing more than most and i like the uniqueness about abnorms.Should have plenty of weight on it too.

Noo ats fit I ca' a heid,a stotter,we need paddles up here the noo tae get oot,I like the malforms too just something more special about them than a lump of weight

And they just keep coming..........:D

Tonights buck, shot right on last light, was the last of a group of 12 to leave the wood and feed on the edge of a rape field.

mj robson - what are you feeding all these deer on your ground to produce so many medals?

Can i have some of whatever it is to try out?

We had 10 Roe just 50 meters out in front of us tonight, including 4 x 6 point bucks. So we took this nice beast, another good medal.

Feed them on coal and you won't go far wrong , I spend a lot of time getting rid of poor bucks, plus I've left a good lot of promising heads over the last few year. For every big buck we shoot there's at least 4 or 5 nice bucks that we leave to run. It seems to be paying off.

Dave,
He is weighing in at 560g wet but as you say is good in all aspects and should push top end bronze. i have 9 carcases in my chiller just now, 3 from a local estate and 6 from me. They are ranging from 17kg - 21kg larder weight.

Cheers,
Mark.
