It seems that the search function doesnt like you using a chambering as a keyword. For instance, I typed in 6.5-284, it returned the error message. Is this something could be fixed ?
Yes, I’d seen the issue myself... its tricky because the old version used to accept it but it gave vastly inaccurate results... whereas the new version won’t accept it because it sees it as being two words in ‘6.5’ and ‘284’ both of which were too short.
If you use Google it has much better results (because they are a search engine!)
Searching for “thestalkingdirectory.co.uk 6.5-284” gives:
There is some things we can do to improve things (installation of a paid search engine)... that would see SD being able to do searches for “6.5-284” etc but it’s unlikely to get equal or better than the factory searches... I’m waiting to see... the other thing we could do is put a Google search on the page... but I’ve always been bit ‘anti’ Google... they make great searches, but there is ‘too much’ of everything!
I've installed a Google search add-on, so if you search on '.243' and it says "keywords were too short" it'll try Google (searching our site only) instead. If you search and it has SD results AND Google results it will display both...
You get Ads with Google search, but you can't have everything
